Uniting Against Period Poverty.
Up to 7 million South African girls do not have access or cannot afford to buy sanitary products. Many also report using old clothes, tissues and newspapers as sanitary pads when they cannot use sanitary products meant for periods. This is unhygienic and can cause other health problems and infections. Joining me in conversation tonight is Hosi Climent Maluleke. He will be sharing about his work and how he distributes pads to young girls across the country and educates them about menstruation and its challenges.
